Civil Defence Corps Armband – Welfare. The CDC was established after WW2 and staffed by Volunteers who were tasked to take control in the event of a national emergency – namely a nuclear attack. At its peak there were in excess of 300,000 members, but the organisation was disbanded in 1968.

These armbands are in excellent unissued condition and are dated 1950’s.
