Description
Martini Henry rifle in obsolete .455/.577 calibre, with Queens Crown and cipher to action sideplate and date possibly 1875. The rifle has been converted to drill purpose (DP) at some point and the barrel has been cut accordingly to prevent firing (a common practice in the Military at that time). There is heavy pitting to the action and also some to the barrel – see pictures – although the bore remains reasonable
